In Memorium – Brother Curtis Earl Sexton

The 60 year member of Millbrook Lodge #97, Brother Curtis Earl Sexton, passed away on July 9, 2012. His obituary, courtesy of the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home is as follows:

Curtis Earl Sexton, age 93 of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at The Oak At Mayview in Raleigh.N.C.

He was born March 16, 1919 in Morgan Co., KY son of the late Asa Sexton & Minnie Robinson Sexton.

He was a electrical engineer for General Electric. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior.

He served in the U.S.Army during W.W.II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wilma Havens Sexton, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Surviving is Daughter, Vicki S. Oliver & husband, George of Raleigh, North Carolina, 2 Grandsons; George Brandon Oliver and Jason Lynn Oliver both of Raleigh, NC.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday 1:00 pm July 12, 2012 at Ezel Cemetery in Ezel, KY. Rev. Larry Sexton will be officiating.

Military Rites conducted at Graveside by Morgan County. D.A.V chapter #132. Masonic Rites conducted by Elkfork Lodge #755 F&AM at graveside.

Brother was born in Ezel, Kentucky March 16, 1919. He was initiated to the degree of Entered Apprentice on August 28, 1952, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on September 26, 1952, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on November 27, 1952 in Bath Lodge #55 in Owingsville, Kentucky. Brother Sexton demitted from Bath Lodge #55 and affiliated with Millbrook Lodge #97 on May 1, 1973. Brother Sexton passed away on July 9, 2012. A graveside Masonic Service was given by Elkfork Lodge #755 in Ezel, Kentucky.
