In Memoriam – William “Bill” T. Martin, 1938 – 2012

On Wednesday, April 25, Brother William “Bill” T Martin, PM, passed away in his home surrounded by family. Worshipful Brother Martin was initiated as an Entered Apprentice October 22, 1974, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on Novemeber 19, 1974, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on December 10, 1974 in Millbrook Lodge #97. He was the Worshipful Master of Millbrook Lodge #97 in 1981.

WILLIAM “BILL” T. MARTIN
January 2, 1938 – April 25, 2012

ZEBULON – Bill Martin, 74, died Wednesday at his home surrounded by his family.  He was Past Master of Millbrook Masonic Lodge 97 and a member of the Pilot Lions Club.  Bill loved woodworking, classic tractors, & classic cars.  He retired from Mitchell Distributing Co, after over 35 years of service.  He was a wonderful granddad.  He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Adams Martin, his mother Minnie Martin Ward & husband Robert, and brother, Freddie.

He is survived by his wife & friend of over 51 years, Judy Nichols Martin of the home, children, Tim Martin of Zebulon, Ann M. Bedner (Ryan) of Freeport, FL, grandchildren, Bradley, Amy, & Josh Gudmens, step grandchild, Hunter Bedner, and special pet, Holly.

Flowers accepted or memorials to Hospice of Wake County are welcomed.

Funeral service 2 pm, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, NC.  Visitation from 11:30 – 1:45 pm, prior to the service. Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.  www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
